Monitoring & Evaluation of MIllennium Development Goals Projects and Programmes
As a result of the debt cancelation by the Paris club of Creditors, Nigeria made a commitment to allocate funds that would have been used to service debt to the implemetation of projects and programmes that will assist in the attainment of the Millenium Development Goals (MDGs) in the country. A sum of N100billion was allocated by the past administration to 10 MDG related MDAs which include: Agriculture, Water Ressources, Power and Steel, Works, Youth and Intergovernmental affairs, Housing and Environment, Education, Health, Women Affairs.

What is YARAC?
YARAC is an acronym for Youth, Adolescent Reflection and Action Centre. YARAC is the result of a workshop to conclude a three–year project with young adults and adolescents about their reproductive rights and behaviours in Plateau State, Nigeria. The original project titled “HAD I KNOWN” (Helping Adolescents off the Road to...) was funded by The John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation fund for Leadership Development.
YARAC Mission Statement
Our mission is to empower young adults and adolescents about their reproductive rights and civic responsibilities through information sharing and transformative education.
To achieve this, our activities are geared towards:
- Reproductive Health and HIV/AIDS Education;
- Conflict and Peace Building for Transformative Change;
- Education and Advocacy;
- Leadership and Governance – Social Change;
- Youth Entrepreneural Development Initiatives.
